I bought my nine year old daughter her first rifle. A Tikka T3 compact 243 on close out from EuroOptic. I found the Weaver 3-10x40 at Natchez for 199.99 and thought it might be a good scope for her as a hunting scope and to teach her some mid range shooting. Anyone know how good the glass is and how well the turrets hold up? Thanks

If your on a budget it would be hard to find a better scope. If money is less of a concern then a leupold vx-5 with a cds dial is a great choice.

Japanese glass and lightweight. Hard to beat for the price. I have one weaver and one blackhawk version of the same scope. SFP variable with mildot and resetable turrets for under $200.

I have one and can vouch for all the other comments here. Great for your needs.

Truthfully, if it had the ability to adjust parallax out, I'd be damned perfect.

Best budget scope on the market. I currently have three of them but that's after I sold 2 to upgrade optics. They track, return to zero and have great glass.
