I am looking for a picatinny rail that will mount to a mcrees precision g7 chassis for mounting a bipod. I was using a swivel mount before. There are three holes pre tapped on the chassis for mounting a rail, .833 apart. Looking for something with that spacing, or one that just has two holes 1.66" apart. I have had no luck finding something with that spacing, or even a rail that fits a range of spacing that will work.

I know Mcrees makes one, but they want $15 dollars to ship something that they could throw in an envelope and ship for 50 cents, so I'm not buying it out of spite.

Just wondering what others running this chassis have used. My next option is to drill and tap a hole where I want it at.

Yeah it has a 4th hole that is larger and not threaded, but that's where the stud is mounted with a nut.

That hole is in between the 1st and 2nd threaded hole starting from the front of the chassis. The furthest spacing is 1.67 by my measurement.

It came this way new, just seems like a dumb design to me. I also tried a small picatinny that I have laying around that mounts on the stud. Problem is the GG&G bipod I want to use won't mount to it.

I think I'm just gonna get the bt15 and drill/tap a hole at around 2.2" on center. No reason to over think it.
