2.5-10x42 30mm MIL/MIL FFP MP-8 Dot Illuminated Reticule?

I want to put one on my AR15 SPR build. But first, I wanted to see who out there has used, or uses one, and what your opinions are with it. Likes and dislikes, pictures and through the scope pics would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Anyone out there running this IOR?

I have had one for about 6 months now. It has been solid on my LMT MWS. The glass is great and reticle is very easy to use. A couple weeks ago I was shooting to 700 using some DAG and was able to walk onto the plate using the reticle and seeing the strikes in the dirt, misses.

I do have a complaint, though. I ran out of elevation adjustment when getting to 700. After my 100 yard zero, I only had 6 mils of vertical up travel left. Not a problem since I can use the reticle for holdovers but a bit bummed none the less. Just moved it to my Recce and putting the new SS 5-20 in its place.

Through the scope pic.

I had an older FFP one. Glass was amazing and tracked great. Only complaint with mine was the 1/2 moa adjustments and hard to use at 2.5x. Looks like the new reticle is alot better

Re: Anyone out there running this IOR?

I will try to get some other pics soon.

I don't even use the scope below 4x due to the tunneling, will try to get a picture to illustrate this. For me, it is a 4-10x scope. Glass is stellar and eye-rellief is generous.

The illumination is decent. Looking into shadows or at night the higher settings light up the dot just fine. It is not daylight bright/useable though.

Re: Anyone out there running this IOR?

Great scope. Note that the older IOR's 2.5 - 10x scopes have turrets that are marked as 1/2 MOA but in reality they are .2 MILs per click. I found this out the hard way with a precision rifle at 500 - 600 yards.

Good shooting ...

Re: Anyone out there running this IOR?

Finally got some pics. I had a really hard time getting the camera to focus on the reticle at 2.5x due to size. Pics are the best I could muster. I have 10x, 4x and 2.5x. Notice the amount of black between the scope view and outside on 4x vs 2.5x. This shows you how the view seems to "shrink in" or "tunnel" at the powers below about 3.75x. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Why thank you.

Thats how I designed the reticle to work on the lowest and highest mag ranges.

Re: Anyone out there running this IOR?

Even before the "Gen 4" designation, these scope have historically been the toughest and most trouble-free of all the IOR scopes, and the new FFP is simply outstanding in glass, reticle, and tracking and is a great deal compared with, for instance a Lupy FFP 3.5-10x40 that doesn't even have illumination, has lesser glass and costs about $100 more.

An excellent longer range SPR scope, IMO

I'm glad you did cause IOR has amazing glass and this scope changed my mind about FFP

Re: Anyone out there running this IOR?

I did a side-by-side comparison between a friend's 2.5-10 IOR and my 3-9 Super Sniper. Bottom line, neither of us could tell any difference from a glass perspective - both were very clear. The SS mil-scale reticle is similar to the MP8. Tracking in both scopes is spot on. The Super Sniper is about 1" shorter. We didn't compare weight.
