Anyone running a 25-300 wsm

I picked up a Kelblys tactical SA for a deal and have an itch for a 25 short mag of some flavor. I have a 7 saum so I don’t want to run the risk of mixing up brass, it will be shot suppressed out of a 20’ barrel. Thinking the 25-300 wsm will have little more horsepower than a 25-6.5prc. Looking for a nice 800 yard and in deer rifle. Anyone have any experience with one? I’m thinking 270 wsm brass maybe better to start with than 300 wsm.. suggestions?

There’s the 257 Marksman which is a 6.8 western case (ADG Brass) necked to 25, throated for heavy bergers. Approximately 100 fps faster than a 25 PRC with the same bullet.

For a true short action, your best bets are 25-6.5 prc or a Sherman Short in 25. It’d probably be tough to make the 135 Berger’s fit in a 25-300wsm in a short action

Sherman 25 SST if I was going mag bolt and 25 pills. Enough horsepower to make 'em go poof, but a true short action.

I run 200 eldx bullets in a 300 wsm in a short action using the Hawkins Hunter dBM and hunter mag.

Fitting a 25 cal bullet shouldnt be too tough

Have to measure my COAL to be sure and think they are 2.850.
Feed very well without issue
