I'm looking for your thoughts on the Boyds Rimfire Hunter stocks to upgrade (understatement of the day) the shitty tupperware stock on my Savage 17HMR FV model. The LOP on the tupperware stocks are just too short and the stocks are too flimsy.

Since this is a hunting rifle for small game, the Tacticool and those other skeletonized ones just aren't what I'm looking for.

Are they pretty easy to work with for bedding and such? Also I am not sure which DIP bottom metal I would need for it..

If you have a picture of your stick wearing a Rimfire Hunter and can post that would be great!

I have a Boyds Rimfire Hunter for a Marlin Model 60, it is a very good upgrade from the plastic stocks that come on most rifles. I have it in the Forest Camo color and it is a really nice stock, my brother also has one on his Marlin 60. I didn't bother to bed the stock since I just use it for plinking and general fun. I also put a DIP trigger on it and it made a world of difference. With the stock and trigger combo it actually feel like a much higher quality rifle. Sorry I don't have a pics of it at the moment I'm at work, if I remember I'll try and snap a few pics tonight and post them up.
