If you are shooting tac class this year I’m curious of the following:

1. Which cal are you shooting?
2. Factory ammo or Reloads?
3. What is your bullet choice?
4. What speed are you running?
5. What is your barrel length?

just things I’m curious of.

308
reloads
175RDF (jump them long...like .060-.070)
2785fps
24" suppressed

223 offers less recoil but more wind, bullet limitations really kill the 223s potential...although you could say the same with limiting 308 to 178 instead of running a 210 or something similar.

I chose to go 308 for the better wind and to nail down my recoil management more.

I've been toying with the idea of shooting my .308 in matches more - at least for some club matches and perhaps some 2 day ones. I'm having a titanium can built for it now, once it's suppressed it's going to see more match time.

It's a TacOps X-ray 51 with a ~22" barrel. Will probably just shoot 168 FGMM.

I shoot for fun, not for the standings. My goal for any comp I attend is to have fun, meet great new people and come out of it a better shooter.

I think shooting a .308 in comps would be fun, and not let me get away with being as sloppy with my shooting/fundamentals as my 6BRA would.

Nothing like flexing the tac-ops! That would be one hell of a trainer rifle. Looks like this year I’ll be running a 26” tikka in 308. Got too lax last year in the local matches shooting 6mm. Might as well go back to 308 to get my butt handed to me

I think going back to .308 will be fun. My main match gun will be a 6BRA, but the challenge of shooting a .308 will only make me a better shooter. Plus, it will give me a reason to shoot the TacOps a lot more, glad I had the foresight to get it with a DBM!

I'm looking forward to beating it more and putting more rounds down the pipe.

20” w/ Area 419 brake. I have a 26” Criterion sitting on the shelf waiting to do the swap after a match this weekend!

Barrel swap to a 26” Criterion MTU contour. Waiting for my local range to open because of this corona virus closed everything!
