Anyone tried Prime 22lr?

If I get ahold of some I’ll shoot it side by side with all the others in my rest and see what it can do.

But from the groups I have seen and people i have talked to it hasn’t preformed very wel.

Good I look forward to seeing your results, as I said make sure its the subs though.

They are made by RUAG which also makes Norma, Geco and RWS. Using a CZ 455 I have personally shot Prime match bolt, Prime match semi auto plus the Norma match, RWS rifle match and RWS target rifle all generally the same price range. All the bullet coatings seem the same. As for what most people care about is accuracy which was done at 50 yards indoor RWS was about 3/8” dead center at 1102 FPS with an es of 17 Now this is where things made me decide that the rest is all the same minus the Prime bolt more on this later. After cleaning between each brand and letting the rifle settle back in each one printed almost identical spots on the target which was 2” low and 2” left with a group right at 5/8” at 1156 to 1168 being the fastest of the averages with an es 32 to 36 which makes me think they are all identical Now with the Prime bolt it was everywhere that I was checking to make sure nothing came loose and even had two other people shot them to verify. They came in at 1048 with an es of 92.

Guys,

Like anything, there are different levels of quality. Most are buying the cheap stuff and then acting like it's not match grade, well, of course, it's not. The subsonic 22 is the best stuff, it's Dynamit Noble Ammo but if you buy the plinking stuff, you are not gonna see the results.

I use the semi-auto stuff in my 10/22 and it's great training stuff, but if you want the accuracy at distance you have to get the subsonic stuff. (which is currently back ordered)

I believe there is 3 version of 22 offered by Prime, if you want the match grade accuracy get the match grade stuff, which is the subsonic

At $90 retail, that shouldn't really be considered plinking ammo
