Anyone use Federal Fusion Bullets?

Anyone use Federal Fusion Bullets? I got a quite a few boxes (both 223 and 308) in a trade deal as a kicker. They group ok but every single round looks like it needs sanding/trueing. Lumpy tips and little tits hanging off of the cores. Just not very good looking. i havent shot any past 300 but they seem to group ok from there and closer.

I have a WIN94 26in cowboy gun in 30-30. The Fusion 150grn were the most accurate rounds I have tried yet at 150yrds.

I just found a box of 170grn and haven't shot it yet but I have high hopes.

Both the 150 and 170 are clean, even and well made rounds with no signs of boogers or bumps anywhere.

The 308 federal fusions in 165 gr didn't shoot worth the brass they are loaded in. But, the gold medal match shoots very well. Your results may be better than mine.

i have shot 4 diff calibers of thise and NOT 1 shot moa in my .5-.75moa gun with gold medal match. would NEVER buy again.

165's shot good out of my .308 LTR this hunting season. About 3/4 moa (not bad for a hunting factory round). Problem I ran into is the bullet is bonded. Unless I purposely hit shoulder, the bullet just pencil holed in and out. All died, but lots of tracking.

This is not a precision round. I would guess on 1 MOA accuracy or there abouts would be GREAT for this bullet.

Its a bonded soft point. Its VERY similar to a Gold Dot, but not what I would consider aerodynamic in the least.

Great for hunting or shooting people with, but NOT an all out precision load.

After having trouble finding a reliable source of Gold Dots for my defensive AR15, I switched to the Federal Fusion 62g load which can be bought at Walmart. The guys at M4C that know their wound ballistics are also saying the same thing. The .223 load will work great in SBR's too since I think its reported to open up as slow as 1700 FPS which extends the lethality range for a 10.5" .223 gun out to 100-125 yards from only about 75 yards using most other ammo.

Tried them. They were very sub par to other off the shelf loads that can be had for a few dollars extra.

I have them sighted in for my A-Bolt 30-06 165gr. Love them. Dont forget they are a hunting round!!
