anyone use hornady lok n load powder disp???

Re: anyone use hornady lok n load powder disp???

If it is the same as the one on their LNL progressive, then I have it as well as the RCBS.

They seem to be comparable in quality and function. I have had issues with the drum not resetting on the progressive. It caused a few squib loads on some of my pistol rounds.

I called Hornady about it and they said to run some powdered graphite through it. Since then, it has worked flawlessly, but I keep and eye on it to make sure it resets each time. It uses spring tension to reset and sometimes the drum would bind and keep it in the "dump" position.

I think it will probably come down to which one matches the color scheme of your reloading room....RED or GREEN??????????

The RCBS is considered to be the better of the two at current times.

I have heard strange stories of the Hornadys keypad losing functionality and buttons shifting positions (ex, 4 becomes 5) and weird stuff like that. Im sure its all a teething phase.

I would stick with the RCBS for now, but in saying that im sure the hornady works ok.

Theres also a cheaper, Smart Reloader version available these days. Havnt heard much about them tho.

I have a Chargemaster combo and think its great

"..hornady lok n load powder disp???"

Hell, half of what Hornady sells these days carries the silly "LnL" marketing label so you need to give a better description than that for folks to know which tool you mean!
