We took one in on trade, and it looks very well made. We are thinking of caring them in our optics line-up. I have not used it. I know they used to be another brand before they were acquired by ZRO. ZRO is also coming out with some firearms, so all gung-ho.

Y'all need to BoBro everything. It's the best QD mount system on the planet, backed up with independent testing. There was an army test commissioned a years ago to determine which mounts had the least ammount of shift and best reliability. BoBro beat everyone including GDI, larue, adm, arms, gg&g and a few others. You can find the test on the net if you look hard enough. I had it a few years ago but lost it.

From a functional standpoint and ease of use, it's tops. I have owned and used them all over the last 20 years and unless someone invents a better mouse trap at a similar price, it's the only QD mount worth buying IMO. I'm running 7 of them at the moment and will need a few more shortly.

Used to be Alamo 4-Star made in Lubbock, TX. Decent quality, overpriced IMO. Alot of guys use them for Pulsar thermal scopes.

I had a ZRO mount and was impressed with it. Unfortunately the particular one I ordered didn’t quite work with the Minox ZP5 5-25 as the bottom of the scope extended just a bit too much to work. I ended up returning it. My Steiner T5X would have worked in it but I have it on a flat top gun.

I would definitely buy one again if it was compatible with the scope I was using.

My understanding is that ZRO has improved the quality on the mount (from reading reviews) and maintained the design. Look and feel is a step-up from many popular mounts on the market, and seems at least on a par with Bobro. Not quite Geissele or Sphur. Close to LaRue ??

Ive got two Alamo Four Star cantilever mounts in 30 and 34mm that have been used on a bazillion demo rifles and personal rifles and swapped out at least twice a year over the past 6 years and they have worked flawlessly. I see no reason the new ZRO branded mounts would be any different.

m6z. Why is Bobro "absolute trash" ?

You know, last year, I would have said Bobro was a player. It is a great design, and especially compared to similar mounts, like LaRue, which was great in its day. Bobro went head to head against LaRue, and they did well with their more simple and less intrusive clamp design. Since then, we have seen a number of failed Bobro scope mounts, which surprises me, as the owners are engineers. There is some point of failure that seems to affect the Bobro mounts.

Hey scopebroker thanks for the reply! A lot better than "It sucks!". I haven't owned one but thought they were held in high regards in the AR world.

My single lever Bobro slips on some uppers. It's tight on some, but slips forward and back on others. One could argue that it's an out of spec rail, however, there is still no way to adjust tension to fix the problem. At least with LaRue and ADM you can adjust the tension as needed. I wasted a bit of ammo chasing zero before I figured out the Bobro was slipping.
