Wondering which bullet would be the best to use in this configuration keeping in mind the magazine length.... Thanks

"Best" is debatable, but most of my 1:7 tubes love everything from 69gr to 77gr pills, particularly the 77gr SMKs which will still run at mag length with no problems.

Hornady 75gr OTM's have a slightly better BC than 77gr SMK's and are considerably cheaper through midway.

US Army marksmanship unit experimented with different rounds and settled on the 77 gr SMK, which is now loaded as M262. With the resources available to them and the fact that they have one of the largest ammo development budgets in the military it kind of says something for the 77 SMK. But, if there's a chance you can get similar results with the Hornady 75 gr for less money, it would definitely be worth the time to try them out.

Agreed, that difference being a cost reduction.

75 hornady BTHP, 24.3 Varget, LC/REM/PMC brass, cci primer, 2.245-2.25" has shot well in every rifle I've used it in. If I didn't have 3k 69gr noslers I would still be using 75 hornadies.

I got my Nosler 69 gr. CC's as a thousand for something like $110 or something. Seconds from the Nosler store. So, I bought a few bags. And they shoot good. Just some others shoot a smidge better.
