AR Ejector Spring Modification Help

Re: AR Ejector Spring Modification Help

Trimming any spring is a bad idea. The engineering and physics of the spring is dramatically altered. Chasing ejection patterns is pointless if your rifle is extracting and ejecting reliably.

If it was a duty or SHTF rifle I wouldn't do it either but for a varmint gun or a CMP match gun it's fine. I have put well over 1000 rounds thru my CMP gun with no problems and it makes small easy to pick up piles of brass for reloading.

I agree with Mgale, but if you want to trim it, do it one coil at a time.
