AR Pistol build

Hey there guys. Next build project is am AR pistol. I'm planning on trying a barrel and bcg from Rosco Manufacturing. Torn between a 10.5 and the 11.5 inch barrel. I do have a 10 inch handguard I'm planning on using. Any input?

Choice of caliber is a major factor. 5.56 benefits from a longer barrel, 300BLK works well with shorter.
Unless that is one special handguard would not let it drive your build.

5.56 = I suggest a 10.3" if you are NOT going to run a suppressor. A 11.5 is your ARE going to run a suppressor. If you go with a 10.3" try to get a barrel with a .07 gas port and run a donut on your extractor. If you are going full insane (300bo) go with subsonics and a 5 or 6" barrel with a can. It will be Super Quiet.

Im looking at a 10.5" bbl in 223 wylde a local shop has for sale. What bbl manufacturer did you go with?

I have a 300 blk barrel by rosco it is an 8.3” I believe local shop had it so I picked it up I haven’t has any problems with it.

I went with a Rosco Manufacturing bloodline barrel.

For 5.56 go with an 11.5". 300 BLK only needs 8-9". Biggest downside to 5.56 out of the short barrels is how damn loud it is. My 10.3 is bad for anyone around when it's unsuppressed.
