The second amendment establishes GOD given and natural rights. This has nothing to do with govt regulation which did not even exist at the time. Heller's decision should be rendered null and void based on this alone. Heller along with the rest of the treasonists, should be in prison. His statement that all things/has always been regulated by the govt is a lie. Even Washington said the general populace should be well and heavily armed. Where the fuck does a single shot rifle fall into this ?????? When regulated, it becomes a privilege, not a right.
Before our constitution came into existence and after...well there were not any arms regulations. The 2A establishes this at a very basic and a profound level. It places arms above and beyond the authority of the govt. Rendering every law having to do with arms......illegal.
In Federalist No. 46, Madison wrote how a federal army could be kept in check by state militias, "a standing army ... would be opposed [by] a militia." He argued that state militias "would be able to repel the danger" of a federal army.
Again, where the fuck does the govt have any authority to regulate arms ? Or is it fear, that makes them do this.....
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Some say they have no idea what this means...so lets change it to modern english.
A well trained armed citizen, being mandatory to the security of a free country, the right of the people to keep/own/hold/sleep with/ fondle etc and wear/be armed, shall absolutely (shall is an absolute in legal language) not be hindered (stand in front of/ to bar).

From a legal perspective if the first law states you can't hinder a citizens right to have ARMS, where the fuck does the govt gain this authority ? The second amendment is dealing with arms carried on your person, not tanks or nuke missles. Which shows many people's intelligence level on this.
Take notice I used ARMS during this whole discussion(not a fucking conversation) we are having in this thread. Well, just what are arms ??? weapons small and light enough to be carried by a man. Again, this has nothing to do with nuke missles....but it does deal with having an RPG, grenades, swords, nunchucks, knives, batons, firearms, etc.

I'm talking about rifles. Many people I work with don't know the difference between a shotgun and rifle. I was saying AR platform because my colleagues hear that word in the news and can understand it's a semi-automatic long gun with a mag.

I feel the the AR platform, as you call it, is the best platform myself. Literally with one lower you could have unlimited uppers to pin to the lower and fire pretty much any caliber or type of firing system. You can get bolt action uppers for them even, you can fire 45 acp or 9 mm all the way up to the .50 bewoulf, it's also one of the most customizable firearms, anything you want can be pinned on, clipped on or keyed to it. It isnt an assault rifle, if that is what you mean by AR. I understand (not agree) limiting the magazine capacity but it is the reason I got into firearms, I love mine but I have actually moved more towards precision shooting and bolt action rifles, even know the AR platform can do that too, i like to keep my brass in better shape. Just the fact that the people creating laws dont understand it should be the NUMBER 1 REASON they cant be part of the amendment process. I dont go telling people what they can and cant do with something I dont understand so why should they?

Some of us are forced to type on a smartphone instead of having access to a computer at work or home. And some of us were only infantry grunts that can’t even spell BOR but don’t even have to be asked to defend it. The constitution doesn’t need more lawyers it’s simple enough in its meaning. It just needs to be shoved in the face of most judges lawyers, and especially law school teachers and students. Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

Perhaps it's my own personal bias kicking in, but I draw a distinction between "excellent marksmen" who can hit what they're aiming at, and "excellent marksmen" that can calculate a firing solution.
No one, growing up, ever told me shit about minutes, mils, or the like. Most of what I know came from the 'hide. Then there's all the reloadery stuff to go with it. No one showed me that, either.
To this day, that series on "Hand loading for Long Range" is the best I've come across for a soup-to-nuts coverage of precision reloading.
That's when you're a hippy comedian at the farmers market, looking for watermelons to smash with a hammer.
Not to take exception with any point, if you don't start at "hitting what you're aiming at" you aren't ready for figuring a firing solution. I can do either.
