AR receivers from the dearly departed Theis

Haha. Well, I mean your thumbprints were all over the thread titled Hoplite Arms. And there’s an old saying about wrestling with a pig. So apparently you didn’t get your money or your rifle

lol You don't get it. "I" wuzn't the "Guy". A deceased friend that wuz on here did some internet work for him and wuz supposed to be given a Rifle for his services. When he passed he left me a number of his Guns and then his Wife drove across country to drop off ammo and other items he wanted me to have. He also wanted me, through his Wife, to have the Rifle he wuz supposed to receive. That's it sport. That's my involvement, other than BSing with a number of random grifters, not just Theis.

Sincerely,

Hi,
I see what you did there and I believe you as far as the other stuff goes.

All I know is I've got my Zincpoint ammo loaded in my hoplite long action with my liberty vortex scope, and wearing my track suit while I scroll.
Not sure what everyone elses problem here is while I'm carring the load for all you lazy freaks- benching, doing concrete work, honing my bow staff skills, counting my flipz, and gettin good folks to buy more ammo.
Only remaing thing I can say is we miss Veer chiming in. The articulate, caring, and good man gone too soon.
A few others... not "Sincerely" missed.

And you know Veer is the Man I was speaking of. Many of us miss him. Next month will be the mark of another year without him.

I got one.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving, but the bossman isn’t a fan of it getting stirred back up again.

Like most problems it’s like an iceberg, there a lot more to it than people realize, and I’m not talking about out “me”.

Just passing along what I know will happen..my 2 cents

You guys should take this to a PM..the guy isn’t around anymore.

Wut? Wut the fuck are you even talking about? Argument? Wut fucking Argument? I answered a gawd damn question, dumb ass. And who the fuck are you to tell me ANYTHING?

Stay in your lane Jimmy.

I don’t know how I missed the connection to Hoplite, but was Hoplite Systems the same as Hoplite Arms?

Here’s a couple of AR mag releases I bought from them to do a couple custom builds for my kids when we moved back to the US in 2012:

That’s some quality anodizing, and quality quality-control right there!

Ah, the dinner party.
He talked a lot, but had that nervous cat look to his eyes the whole time
I didn’t go to the dinner but I heard the same.

I was too busy trying to get 2-3 mags functioning for the switch caliber rifle that he supposedly designed with someone..which were a disaster…like retard disaster

Switch caliber magazines are not that difficult. Hell, Barrett got it right. 😜

Remember how he needed help to get that one rifle re-zeroed.🙄

The back story is hilarious but the tip of the iceberg

It was already sighted zeroed the afternoon before. Shooting knots, Terry was there with his new chassis, I think he might have shot it as well.

Moron on boy did something and couldn’t find the paper at 3/400 if I remember

He came running down to the booth like he was on fire saying he can’t zero it

How was it fixed…

zero out the turrets (not adjust, just put bs k to 100 yard zero from yesterday)
100
300
600
1k
Fine tune

Walk away

Also, he told someone that you zero a LR rifle at 1K?? We had a zco on it with enough elevation that it was shot at a mile

It’s too bad that weekend wasn’t 2 years earlier, would have saved me a few bucks 😠😠

The story in full is on the podcast

Any keywords to search about this theis guy?

Now I am curious and tried google and can't find anything. Tried searching on here and just got a ton of links to this thread.
Quick story is in 2 episodes of @BLKWLFK9 now mostly defunct podcast Just F'n Send It.
Also in this episode of Everyday Sniper

Was considering linking the podcasts but since you mentioned it I will.

Not trying to stir anything.

What a mess. I know there has been a lot of jokes about all of this, but I honestly feel for anyone scammed by the thief. I am a bit of a gear junkie, albeit a poor one. So I’m pretty sure I would have been following his posts pretty closely even if I couldn’t afford to buy one. Glad @brianf is stand up enough to refund people even if it meant a loss. It would sure be nice if everyone was honest.

Do you guys remember the podcast (I think it was Blkwlf) where Louie mentioned he had a bad stutter and learning the Texas drawl helped him mostly conquer it?
IIRC, he said he was living in Houston and trying to really get past his Ukrainian accent and stutter.

My brain at the time kept saying he sounds like he's from Lousy-Anna.

Ah, memories...😄

We started comms when he was in Houston

That’s where his wife’s notary stamp was from..too bad she used it to falsify legal docs.

I got that revoked

I actually never listened to that podcast.

After he did it he said it went well. At “the end” I got a few questions from people trying to confirm “his skills” and what not
