Rifle Scopes AR Scope Upgrade

I want to upgrade the scope the scope on my 556 AR, primary purpose is Coyote hunting and some steel plinking. I prefer a mil scope and reticle, plus a little more power since the places I hunt offer some mid range shots.

Looking to stay around the $1000 mark and a few options I see there are... Bushnell HDMRII, Leupold mk 5 3x18, Burris xtrIII 3-18. I Understand the leupold and Burris are probably a bit higher priced right now.

What else should I look at?

You won’t find a better scope than the Leupold Mark 5 3-18 for an AR platform.

SWFA 5-20x50, Bushnell LRTS/LRHS. Both very good optical quality, tracking, zero and scale well to AR15 platform. Have all above on AR10-15 and very pleased with value. If you want an optical upgrade, will come with a weight penalty-except with Leupold. If HDMR-go with the DMR2 PRO Model.

Don't think you'll find the Leupold or XTR III for 1000 anywhere.
The Bushy is a great option. Superior to the PST II.
The PST II is a good scope.
The Midas Tac 4-16 is a damn nice scope, as well as the Sightmark pinnacle 3-18.

The XTR3 3.3-18 is going to run about $1700 right now. But it's really a sweet scope!

The XTR 3 looks awesome, and the Mark 5 looks great to me as well... however I’ve gotta see what budget I can swing, at this point I feel the Bushnell might be the best option at the $1000 mark

Can't help but mention the super deals on Athlon Ares BTR 2.5-15x50 Gen 1 right now. About $400 (normally $900) IIRC.

Anyone have experience with the 3-18 Eotech Vudu? It’s down there in the same price range as the Bushy HDMR II

Or I guess the Vudu 5-25 because I’m just now noticing it’s actually smaller and shorter than the 3-18
