Does anyone know of a loop type nylon sling. One that just loops over barrel and stock without attachments? This for a CAR 15

Why dont you just make one. Nylon webbing and buckles from amazon can be at your door pronto.

i would think any vcas sling could be used without any attachment devices on the ends.
not sure i would attach anything to the barrel directly...

With a BFG Wire Loop wrapped around the FSB or barrel you could pretty much run any sling you want.

Universal Wire Loop

The Universal Wire Loop attaches a firearm sling to an AK, M4, M16, SIG, SCAR, a buttstock, or an eyelet - it will attach to almost any rifle - even an M240B machine gun.

Alternatively, there's also the Proctor Sling that you could secure over the handguard and probably hold in place with some 100 mph tape.

Easy peazey. Just did this for my RPR Rimfire a week or two ago. Ordered a cheap sling from eBay that had plastic buckles and that was it.
