Looking to buy an 18" 1:10 twist match barrel setup for an AR10 (medium weight, not some 1" dia monster)... is there a vendor with inventory on hand that has a good rep for this type of setup?

Krieger has M110 spec barrels in stock. They need chambered and crowned anyway, so you could have your smith whack 2" off of it while he has it.

I recently talked to Krieger. They had two barrels (canceled orders) that were 308, 1:10 (if I recall correctly), and could be cut to length. I believe they were much longer than you need. Not sure on diameter, they could tell you.

I just got off the phone with them. They have 11 M110 barrels in stock and a handful of 26" bulls.
One of their employees tried to tell me they didn't, so be careful taking no for an answer from them when you call.

I prefer to cut out the middlemen that are peddling brands for profit whenever possible and go for the sourced product of known quality.
For sure, Krieger starts with a bar of steel. After it leaves their place it shows up at mine. No middlemen/wondering what materials, process, or number of hands touched it (and made $$ on it) before it gets here.
Same with the receiver combo. Was gonna do IRA, but settled on Machine Tech via BigJoe's group buy. Both would be direct from the maker with no markup for a cool name or magazine ads.
Call me averse to the the special sauce marketing so many companies try to put on their products and just gimme what works please.
