Anyone shooting any short mag cartridges in AR10's? I have1) 6.5prc and 1) 7saum and awaiting go/no-go's before pulling the triggers. So far I haven't found a good source for which mags works best? Aluminum mags are stronger, but keep the coal @ 2.800", m118 mags gets me @ 2.830-2.845ish and Lancer (which I like due to metal feed lips that can be adjusted for proper feeding according to H/S, but coal is shorter @ 2.815ish? 1 place I've read said to use standard 308win AR10 mags w/follower. During function testing (10 dummy rounds, no primer, no powder, just case and bullet @ specific lengths) has the 10 round mags feeding better (manual charging and extracting on recharging via chargehandle).
