I'm having a hard time with my ar10T. At 100 yards my groups are 3/4" x 2-3". It does this over and over no matter the load. All groups are shot off a bench with front rest and rear sand bag.

I'm not the greatest shot and am pretty new to semi autos but I can hold my bolt guns to 1/2" at 100y all day long.

What do you think???

If you don't have much time begind the trigger of a 308 semi-auto, it could easily be you. Driving a semi-auto is much tougher (in my experiences) than a bolt gun. You have to pay very close attention to breating, as well as your trigger manipulation, bipod loading, etc. You might do well to review the SH Training video on the subject.

Also, it could be an ammo problem if you are experiencing spikes in MV that coordinate with your stringing.

If your AR-10(T) won't group MOA or better, you do realize that Armalite will take care of it for you. The test their rifles with 168gr FGMM if memory serves, so if you can get your hands on some, it might be worth giving a box of them a run through the gun to see what your results are. If you do send it back for warranty coverage, they'll want specifics on the ammo you have tried, etc. If you can provide targets...that will help the process along.

I would clean it, lube it up really well and try some known good ammo through it with a known good scope on it. Also single feed them rather than using the mag. If you have a big, heavy rest like a lead sled that might help eliminate flinching on your part.

If all else fails send it in to the manufacturer.
