Hi guys. I've donated an AR15 I recently completed for a member on another website who's 8 month old son has been diagnosed with Canavan disease. It's terminal... We are putting together multiple raffles and I know it's crude at best but we are doing what we can do help support the family in this tough time with their medical bills.

TO ENTER: $20 FOR EACH RAFFLE TICKET. RAFFLE WILL RUN THROUGH AUGUST 30TH AT MIDNIGHT! WE HAVE A BIG LIST OF GEAR DONATED BY ROKSLIDE MEMBERS AND EVERYONE HAS A SHOT AT EVERYTHING.

WE WERE FORMERLY USING PAYPAL BUT THEIR USE POLICY DOESN'T ALLOW THE PURCHASE OF RAFFLE ENTRIES. INSTEAD PLEASE GO TO THE DEDICATED GOFUNDME.COM WEBSITE HERE: http://www.gofundme.com/ch0vtc
AND TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OR PICTURE AND SEND IT TO ME HERE VIA PM, OR EMAIL TO [email protected] WITH YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS! THANK YOU!

Here are the details of the rifle...

16" 1:9" twist 5.56 NATO barrel from signature manufacturing. I used this same barrel except for 1:7" twist for an AR I built for Ryan Avery and it shoots great.
ODINWorks 12.5" Sport forend with accessory picatinny rail.
Magpul CTS 5 position collapsible stock
Tactical oversized charging handle latch.
Milspec forged upper/lower receivers from SMI. Very tight fit on these receivers.
Milspec M16 style (full auto rated) BCG. Will upgrade to a Nickel Boron BCG for an extra $100.
ODINWorks oversized mag release
Low profile gasblock
Heavy H2 carbine buffer
Tactical Springs "white" buffer spring. Rated to over 1,000,000 duty cycles.
Standard A2 flash suppressor.

Here are some pics of the rifle:

And here are links to the two threads from the other forum.... please feel free to share on FB and anywhere else. Thank you

Mike it's great of you to do this for a fellow shooter. I checked out both links you put up and it looks like a great group of guys over at Rokslide. I'm glad you posted this on the Hide. In what has to be one of the hardest situations for a family to be in, the last thing they should have to worry about is finances and selling gear. Iv seen the guys here come together before and I'm sure we can help out. I'll start it out with paypal for 5 and prayers for the family both on their way.

Here's an update everyone!

I was contacted yesterday from Paypal about possibly violating their Use Agreement in that no raffle purchases may be used through paypal. Rest assured the donations through paypal up to this point have been counted and entered!

The BEST solution we have right now is donating through the GoFundMe.com website! Once you donate there, send me a PM/email with a screen shot/picture if possible with your name, screen name, and how much you donated and when.
CB Chappell Medical Fund by Micah Chappell - GoFundMe

Gonna ask ya'll to use some integrity with this method as it'd be easy for someone to falsify info for entries... If something seems fishy we will confirm with Gofundme.com

ALL OTHER ENTRIES UP TILL THIS POINT whether it's been via paypal or otherwise have been counted and documented. From here out we are using the Gofundme.com website. Thank you!

Also we are gathering a list of gear compiled that people can wind. This AR being one of them, another is a Vortex Ranger 1000 NIB range finder, Kifaru "Kill Kit"...etc sorry not all of it is shooting gear, this originated from a backcountry hunting website so the donations will reflect that. Should have an updated price list by wednesday hopefully! Thanks again.
