Ended up going with the 14" just in case I ever decide to design a magnetospeed mount off barrel.

I just installed this rail last week and haven’t gotten a chance to use it. I didn’t really use the barricade stop as much as I thought I would. In the past, I just pushed up to the mag lip area. I did order one of Area 419’s removable barricade stops just in case though.
My rifles tend to be rear heavy even with a Heavy Palma contour barrel. I needed the tunable rail to help balance out the rifle. That was more important to me than the barricade stop.
No they're still not very stable, and also not much thicker. It seems stiff enough to hold a magnetospeed steady enough, but not strong enough to support a loaded bipod.
The tunable measures about .419 thick. Haven’t used it yet so I don’t know if it flexes at all.
You may be better off with a couple seekins MLok adapters or bolting on a generic arca rail, unless you want the locking ability of the 419 rail. 419 offers a standalone barricade stop that fits on regular arca if you're after that.
