I'm beginning to think Areo has gone dark ,as in out of business or something has happened to my order , I ordered a stag 308 upper and lower back on Nov 14th ,still no shipping notice , ordered a magpul moe rifle stock at the same time and a matching handguard , the stock showed up about 10 days after ordering ,but the other items ,nothing and it's been over 30 days , calls to CS o go straight to ," no one is available to take your call recording , anyone else having problems with Areo ?

I read something about not ordering a Solus direcly from Aero Precision today because it will be a few months before it's shipped and their customer service has been terrible.
Items that are not firearms appear to be shipping way faster than anything that requires an FFL transfer.
It's been almost four weeks since I ordered my Solus Receiver.
I wonder if they're just taking orders and producing and filling to satisfy their back log? If so, that's irritating considering that the items are listed as in stock and their damn website still says FFL items may take 3-10 business days to ship.

Try waiting since July on a .300 BLK Solus pistol with virtually zero contact or info. They just keep pushing back the ship date every month. It's irritating to say the least. This is the worst CS i've ever had from Aero. Not sure why the damn .300 BLK pistols haven't shipped, but they should be more transparent with customers as to what and why, and actually answer the damn phones.

Once I receive this order (only God knows when), I think I’m done doing business with Aero Precision.
Finally got a shipping notice for a order on the 15th of Nov, it's for the handgaurd that matches the upper /lower combo that I ordered on the 14th , at this rate it'll take another month before I can start the build , like TDWilson said after this build I'll never use Areo for parts again, over 30 days for in-stock items is ridiculous.
I had a similar issue when ordering an AR barrel only in 6.5creed. Status: in stock. 3 weeks went by and still nothing. Called them and response was "didn't meet accuracy ". It was 3 months before I got it and accuracy was great. Maybe it's a quality issue and holiday demand is high? Speaking of hold times nothing was worse than impact guns. Ordered a Savage 110 338lm. Status: in stock. 5 weeks later still nothing. I canceled it! Impact was probably working on a large order to get their cost down from wholesaler. Years later i gave them a go again and received my m&p within a week.

I canceled an order on a solus barreled action 6 weeks after it was expected to ship in 3…..
when places ordered from take longer to return you money than ship a product, that's horrible! it takes 1 day for them to get their money, so it shouldn't take 2 weeks to get yours!
I don't get them either, but they said that is most likely something to do with my email server, because some get them, and some don't. I've been on the phone with the lady who sent it right then while I was on the phone, and it never came through. So, I tend to believe they are correct about the different servers owned/ran by anti-gun zealots flagging stuff that is 2A related.Y'all got a order confirmation?
I ordered a chassis on 11-20 and received the order confirmation but still shows as "Processing" on their site
I can't even get through to them to *cancel* an order... the B.S. with putting the Solus on sale @ $601 when they haven't even shipped the ones people ordered @ Black Friday kinda got me a bit pissed.
I went through the same thing as Byron above... tried calling CS, waded through the phone tree and ended up at an endlessly repeating message "No one is available to take your call".
Hopped on the chat early, spot #117. Got down into the mid 40s... and got booted from the queue.
Started over, now at somewhere north of 300. Settled in to wait... got booted *again* around #120 or so.
In the mean time, tried calling a few more times. Nothing. Same f'ing message.
Sent in an email support ticket. That was a couple days ago (Monday). No response.
Great company... doesn't ship in a even remotely timely manner. Can't get a hold of CS for love nor money. That Solus receiver better be f'ing *amazeballs*
More likely it's something to do on *their* end. The big web email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) started adding a number of domain validation requirements on senders... back in February. If they haven't figured it out by now, then their IT department must be an extension of their f'ing CS department.
This was happening way before February... For the last couple years.
Also, at $600, I think you'll be pretty happy with it. Also, remember, just like anything made of metal, it will break-in and smooth-out with time and cycles. Right out of the box, it's not going to be Terminus smooth, but it's also 1/3 of the price.
There's no way I'm pissing another $600 down that particular hole until they actually ship what I've already ordered. A reputable company would offer to retro those discounts for the customers that have orders in the queue, rather than making them feel like they just got fucked over... but I highly doubt that's going to happen.

I personally think they have grown way too quickly. Seems they are releasing new options about every other day. I think I’ve gotten about 3 different emails in the last week or so just on “new” AR paint schemes. I say “F” the new plaid and neon BS and ship out the stuff people have already purchased. Not sure how many color variations one company needs but I would assume the K.I.S.S method would be best suited. Give the option for custom color variations and charged extra for that and note extra lead time. But to order a basic black upper receiver that was in stock almost a month ago and still haven’t received a shipping notice is total BS.

I think their CS department is under staffed and they simply don't give a shit. Additionally, I really do think they're taking orders for product that has yet to be manufactured. That would also explain partly why FUHQ hasn't received his 300 blackout pistol. I know at some point they said there was an issue with the run of 300 blackout barrels but he's been waiting since July...
The above would explain the delay with FFL items taking forever to ship. There's a whole serialization process and ATF log that has to occur with that.
I still like their products and i'm not willing to step away from them but i'm irritated. If there was a disclaimer on the website stating that "in stock" products are not in stock, i'd be ok with it.
I'm also annoyed because I honestly have no clue what I actually ordered. My order says "fluted" in the item description. I originally thought that I was getting an FDE obsidian style action but the product photos don't reflect that and they have since changed the description. Obviously there's zero clarification from AERO since their CS is non existent.
There is however, no disclaimer and their shipping and lead times page is wildly off.
Large companies become not so large companies (or go out of business) when they fail at the most basic level: mutually beneficial exchange. So far my exchange with AP has been beneficial to one side, and it ain’t me!
I don’t know if these fulfillment and CS failures are going to put a dent AP’s business. I really don’t care; I’ve made my last purchase. Once I get my items I’m done doing business with them. This was a lesson learned for me. Instead of falling for slick marketing and attractive “sale prices,” I will look to spend my money with smaller companies who treat their customers like equal partners in a sale.
I hate that your first interaction with them was like this, as it does look bad on them and ruins possible repeat new customers. Like I said, all these years in business, it was always extremely helpful and excellent customer service. This has only been like this for the last 6-7 months. Hopefully it's just a phase, and they get it turned around. They build good products for good prices, and it's all made right here in the U.S. (one of the few companies that does), so I hope they get it turned around.
Also, you could always just purchase the parts from other places that sell them and do have them in stock. Lots of places run them on sale multiple times a year. I bought my first Solus from Primary Arms 2 years ago, while it was on sale. The rest I've ordered from Aero directly, and all have arrived in a timely manner, except for the 6.5CM (it did take a few weeks, but they were waiting on TriggerTech to ship more triggers to them, and Canada's customs was being a bunch of dicks because it's gun parts (surprise, right?). They finally got them in, and I had the rifle within 5 days of it shipping out. My Obsidian action was bare action, it shipped quick, and arrived to my FFL in about a week from order date. The only one giving me real issues is this .300 BLK pistol, and before all this customer support BS, I got in touch with someone, and they said they had barrel issues and were waiting on a new batch from BA, and were also waiting on triggers from TriggerTech (this was during the same time frame as the 6.5CM purchase). So, what I can gather, sometimes these backlogs are them pre-selling items that haven't been built yet, for example the 6.5CM didn't have triggers, but the had the rifles built waiting on them to arrive.

I ordered some closeout handguards and uppers last spring and forgot I did until they showed up.
If I was specifically looking for aero stuff I think I'd only go through primary arms.
When aero shows up really cheap at optics planet I do giggle thinking about the poor saps that likely have to wait 8 months to get their order. (I've only used optics planet once, and the "in stock" parts took 6 months to show up).

Optics SCAMet sucks. I used them like 5 times, and 3/5 times they pulled some shit like that. I actually canceled the last order and bought it from Midway, and had it in a couple days. That’s been about 5 year ago, won’t ever use Optics SCAMet again. I’ll pay a few bucks more to actually GET my order, and in a timely manner.
