Sad to say I ordered an action and barrel from them and haven’t heard anything either. No order confirmation or anything. I did get an email to add more things to my order, but it comes from noreply@

Am going to cancel unless something happens.

They will ship it, people cancelling orders is kind of dumb, honestly. They are not a fly-by-night operation, you're going to get your product, it's just a waiting game right now, unfortunately. Hopefully they hire more people and get this shit fixed.

They definitely aren't, but the lack of communication, difficulty getting a hold of them and taking a month to ship products the list as in stock, they sure as hell are acting like it.

I built one of their EPC-9s using their original 7.7oz non deadblow buffer kit. When I had issues, I reached out multiple times and they finally recommended I stop using the rifle and replace the 7.7oz kit with the 8.1oz deadblow buffer kit but never offered to supply it. I ordered it months ago with a 3 week lead time and supposedly it has shipped on the 26th, which I find ridiculous.

It's hard to get behind anything they offer, regardless of how great it is until they straighten out their CS and shipping issues.

There are far too many companies with much better CS and lead time estimates.

I was finally able to speak to a human and voiced my concerns regarding the lack of comms, lack of shipping, lack of transparency on what is in stock and what isn't. The guy on the other end took it in stride and was humble about the whole thing. He acknowledged that they're having trouble but they're working on it. About the best response I could hope to receive.

I asked about the discrepancy between the price I paid during their sale in November versus the reduced price sale they ran a few weeks later. They agreed to credit me the difference.

I still don't have a ship date but for 601 dollar shipped for an FDE Solus action, I am not complaining. I'll wait it out but man, I really hope they improve in the future. Personally, all I need is a disclaimer giving me a rough estimate of shipping lead times. If they tell me I have to wait six months for something, ok, no biggie but I want to know that up front.

Uppers arrived the 26th. No emails. No tracking.


On another note, when you order things from PSA, and one has free shipping, would be nice if they tossed the other light stuff (LPK and small springs) in the box that is 32x too large for the 2 BCGs vs $8 charge for shipping of other items. Cant be making enough $ on that to make the extra box and people time worth it….

For the guys waiting or complaining about 1+mo wait, why did you order directly from aero. Plenty of places have these parts and receivers in stock, places like nss, midway, PA, PVA, and PSA. I'm assuming you ordered directly from aero cause of a great sale or price, if so, sometimes great deals have some strings.

If you ordered something that was in stock and the website said lead time for shipping items requiring an FFL transfer was the following:

"Current shipping times are 3-5 days. Please expect higher lead times of up to 1 – 2 weeks for FFL items. This timeframe is subject to change without notice depending on the current volume of orders."

Would you miffed by that?

FUHQ has been waiting since June for an Aero Solus pistol with no no comms from the company and he's in here just stating matters of fact. He's not complaining, nor is anyone else in this thread. They've had his money since June. I don't know about you but 1800 bucks could be sitting in my savings account gaining 4% interest.

The second sentence is fine but when you send an email and four weeks later you still have no response, once again, would you be miffed by that?

There's a lot of waiting in the Firearms space. Some people are just impatient and childish. Other people expect reasonable levels of customer service should there be delays. I think most people would agree that Aero's response to this has not been reasonable.

Also, I don't know where you're looking but there is not plenty of product available elsewhere. The pistols are only available through the aero website as are the FDE receivers, contract over run barrels and .223 offerings.

If it's cerakote I'd just get a regular action and get it cerakoted when it's barreled. Their cs response/comms is crappy, didn't say otherwise, and looks like their instock is sorta like optics planets in stock. Unless you are wanting a 223 or pistol version, there's plenty of places that have aero receivers in stock. Is that accurate enough for you?

I got an email from Areo wanting a review of my experience with them , normally I delete those kind of emails ,but I jumped at the chance to unload on them. Basically said I would no longer buy from them until they fixed thier shipping and CS , they responded almost immediately with a request to explain my problems , I didn't respond because I had already done that in the earlier email ,but at least they read their incoming emails. When I originally made this thread I had no idea that the hide would respond like this ,maybe some good will come of it if Areo hears about this thread , one can only hope .

Not anywhere else I've shopped. They might be backordered out the ying-yang, but if they don't have it, every place I've ever seen *says* so. Except Aero, apparently.

It’s the Optics Planet model. “Available” may very well mean “indefinitely backordered.” At least with OP the shipping estimator will put some truth to the situation. If the shipping time looks overly long, or it says “typically ships in 4 weeks” or something like that, it’s not in stock…

That said, the few things I’ve ordered from Aero shipped within the expected time frame. And, holiday orders are always a cluster.

When you have an issue such that the manufacturer tells you to stop using it because of safety concerns and replace a setup that they since discontinued and then not offer to replace it with their new and improved setup is bullshit. Original buffer kit was $107, new buffer kit was $95, no free shipping, no expidited handling, just a we'll get to when we get to it. No response to emails, constantly getting kicked out of chat queue, phone queue and then a surprised shipping notice almost 3 months from the date of order and 4 months since initiating comms about the issue. FTR, Aero showed the kit in stock when no other retailer did.

I am waiting for another in stock item that was ordered at least 2 months before the buffer kit.

Nobody had the .223 actions in stock anywhere yet, as they'd just dropped. Apparently Aero didn't have them either!

Now, the action wrench... *that* was listed as 'out of stock', with an option to email me when it comes in stock. Which is how it *should* be handled. I've got someone local here that has a wrench - he's actually willing to trade/sell me one of his Origin actions for the Solus I've got on order.

Part of me is like "okay, it's not like the world is going to end if I don't have it tomorrow... or next week... or even next month...", and I do have something I need to get sorted out with my current rifle before I borrow/tackle more problems - especially if the CS is going to be little to no f'ing help, from the sounds of things.

The other part of me is abso-fucking-lutely incensed over this, and having family in town is the only reason I haven't parked myself on the phone with my CC company to cancel the charges, since Aero's CS is totally unresponsive.

The receiver is PVD, not cerakote. It's cool, I wanted it and I like FDE shit...there's no other reason beyond that. FDE PVD receivers are only available through Aero direct. At least for now.

It's pretty factual, unless you want a 223 rifle/pistol/bolthead or a exclusive color option, there are other vendors that carry same part that will ship a day after buying. Couple things I've noticed on aero over last 6mo: comms are lacking, ship time is very slow, and usually other places have there stuff cheaper(except on some very rare circumstance). For awhile a guy on the hide was selling solus actions for 650, and aero had 875 or 900 on their site. Sure their sale brings it down close or just under, but then you're rolling dice on when you get it.

After watching the status of my order stay "processing"for almost 3 weeks I tried every means of contact to cancel the order. The live chat showed me being 289 in queue and I was knocked out of it before anyone even acknowledged I was there. Same with phone. I held for a total of four hours over 2 days only to be cut off by their system without ever being answered.
I have a series of emails I sent with no response. I finally disputed the charge with my CC company. Now another couple weeks later (still no response to me or to my CC co.) the chassis shows out for delivery. Well, fine, because the CC company says they ain't releasing the disputed amount to them unless Aero makes contact before the 90 time frame expires.
The package is shown "signature required" but I am not signing it. Worse, Fedex usually just throws shit out on the driveway, signature required or not.

Okay, I am going to try and explain the why I did it to you and @FquH and I really don't give a fuck what either of you would have done.
I ordered a Solus Chassis from Aero during the Black Friday sale. It showed in stock. A few days later another online seller was offering a BF deal on a chassis I really wanted more so I ordered one. IF Aero had processed the order, provided a tracking number and shipped their chassis that almost two weeks later I would have just kept it too. But seeing they had not I thought WTH, I'll just call and cancel the Aero order (the other chassis was over 2X more $$). I called Aero, spent right at 1 hour on hold and their system cut me off. I tried same again that afternoon with same result. Next morning, yup, tried again with same result. So, went to their "live chat" and was notified I was 289 in queue. After watching my queue number drop to 188 the chat timed out. I sent email and got no response. Next day same deal; no response to any attempt at speaking to anyone concerning the order. My final attempt at live chat ended the same way but I did tell them to cancel my order before getting shut off even though they had still not even acknowledged I was there.
So, then I called my CC company and asked what I should do. They said dispute the charge so I did. By the time I got to that point I wouldn't wipe shit off my ass with anything Aero. BTW, it was two weeks after not only myna my CC unsuccessful attempts to contact them that Aero decided to ship the chassis.
Why didn't I just accept it when it showed up?
Fuck Aero, FuhQ and you if you don't understand that now.
