This is my issue M16A2 as seen in Afghanistan, Sept 2006. It has the Armalite white stamp on the front of the magwell. It's stamped Colt M16A2. When I first joined the unit it was a M16A1 capable of full happy. In 2004-05 they received A2 uppers and full happy became burst. Now our unit is going to M4s, full happy again!
This took this picture on one of my first nights at KAF. The 30rds of ammo were dirty in the crappy mag I was issued. On the way to KAF I found a nice mag in a box outside of the not yet opened Pat Tillman USO. The mag was loaded with the ammo seen in the picture until two days before I returned home; the mag now resides in my collection along with my helmet. I was asked by my brother-in-law "to be" to beat the crap out of the cold steel blade while in country.
"Trump card" was are call sign. Any FACs or flyboys out there?
