Armalite SASS - mounting across receiver+handguard

I noticed on Armalite .308 rifles that the delta ring is quite large. On the SASS, can you mount across the receiver rails to the hand guard rails, or does the delta ring get in the way?

The Armalite SASS has a free float quad rail. You can mount anything you want.

I understand. I am asking if you can mount across the delta ring, attaching to both the rail on the receiver and the rail on the hand guard, or does the large delta ring get in the way?

I don't know what Armalite SASS you have been looking at, but the handguard locking ring (not a "delta ring") on the SASS sits well below the level of the receiver rail/handguard rail, so mounting across the receiver rail to the handguard rail is NOT a problem whatsoever.
