I thought the same thingsThey lost me at "manufactured by our partners in Japan". Not that I don't like Japanese optics, I happen to be very fond of Japanese optics, but for the LPVO world there are about a hundred excellent LPVO's already from Japan so I'm not sure what TT/ATI was thinking here, maybe simply just to join in the game. 1-6 is very 2018, would have at least liked to have seen a 1-8 to keep up with the pack. I will say this, from web pictures their dark earth anodization looks a LOT better than the Razor Gen II/III, speaking of the Gen III, I've had mine on order since December, really hope it shows up very soon.
Let us know, other than the BDC instead of MIL's and the zoom going to the wrong way (I find it more natural pulling to zoom in while on the gun) it seems to check a lot of boxes.I ordered one. Looks like it arrives Friday. Have a Vortex Gen III 1-10 so will see how this one stacks up.
Very curious to see how you like it!I ordered one. Looks like it arrives Friday. Have a Vortex Gen III 1-10 so will see how this one stacks up.
I am not much into colors, but seems like a burnt bronze to me. Def lighter than the Gen III coloring...Appreciate the writeup USC, sounds like a very compelling 1-6 offering. My Gen III 1-10 should be coming any day now and I'm curious to see how well I like that. How close do you think their dark earth color is to FDE equipment?
Thanks. I've always thought of Vortex's as being closer to Patriot Brown. Just found out my Gen III is shipping this week, so I will know for certain by next week hopefully.I am not much into colors, but seems like a burnt bronze to me. Def lighter than the Gen III coloring...
I like the Gen III. Run it as a DMR setup on my MR762.Thanks. I've always thought of Vortex's as being closer to Patriot Brown. Just found out my Gen III is shipping this week, so I will know for certain by next week hopefully.
Paging @koshkin for further information? As a Canadian I want to support the home team (even if the scope isn't manufactured here) but per the comments above, there would have to be something quite compelling about this scope to justify it in 2021. Hopefully they are working on higher mag range LPVOs as well, or perhaps a 2-10/12 something like that.
Really want to support the home team, so I'm very excited to hear about your initial thoughts.![]()

I have one heading my way.

Thanks, can you give us a through the scope reticle shot?Well got lucky and it arrived this am. Here are my initial impressions. (take this lightly as I am not an expert). My reference points are a TT525P, K525i, NX8, Gen III
Reticle: The way the CX900 is set up it pops. Very easy to acquire even without the light on. At power level 9 (don't know why it doesn't go to 11) it is very bright. Compared to my Gen III this one seems to work better on 1x for speed and is brighter.
Turrets: The magnification dial is extremely smooth, can't see using a throw lever with it. Much better than my Gen III. The windage and elevation are different as they are sunk into the unit and require me to use the tips of my fingers. Would be much slower in any field use. Can't see myself dialing if speed was an issue. The feel of the clicks is similar to as TT with very distinct clicks between settings. Think of a down graded TT.
Glass: Very surprised how clear this unit is. It is as good or better than my Gen III. Haven't mounted it yet but first look this is a steal for $1200. I have a NF NX8 and this unit is clearly superior to that unit. Also the eye relief is very good. Easy to get behind and field of view is impressive.
Will try to get this on my AR and run it through the paces in the next few days. Need to get the BDC aligned to my Blackhills 77g TMK's to make it useful.

Was that the 6x view you posted on IG?I just got one. The FOV is very good and it is very easy to get behind. The reticle is clever. Very nicely visible on 1x and not too distracting on 6x.

Koshkin is the 1x a true 1x.This scope is starting to get my interest please keep updating us on your findings.
They really ticked a ton of boxes on paper with it, even if I do wish it was Mils instead of BDC. I wonder what load/velocity the BDC is for, I see no mention of it anywhere.
Im familiar with how those have worked in the past. It's still compromise. If we are talking minute of man hits, its fine, sometimes. But its still limited because your zero and the associating dope can vary greatly throughout the day. If we are putting in 800 yards shots, as this scope suggests and you are shooting at a 8am, your difference by the hot part of the day could be 2 mils with a 5.56 at that distance...more than 4 feet. No one rezeros their rifles for the new conditions with an LPVO, you just make the appropriate adjustment. Sure you could calculate and figure it out, even with a BDC, but it just adds another layer of complexity to the process. I still like what I see so far, every LPVO has a compromise, this one might not be too bad.It is a hybrid BDC. I'll have discussion of that in the video.

Any updates on how it's performed in the field? Will try to get this on my AR and run it through the paces in the next few days. Need to get the BDC aligned to my Blackhills 77g TMK's to make it useful.
Armament Corp is selling direct I believe....Who are the Hide dealers carrying this scope? I just inquired with CS Tactical and they have no plans for it.
@koshkin is working on a video. Was worried he had an adverse vaccine reaction but I see he's been posting since last week.Any updates on how it's performed in the field?
My comment was specifically for uscbadger as he has the Gen III 1-10 and I just got mine last week, but I'm happy to hear from ILya as well@koshkin is working on a video. Was worried he had an adverse vaccine reaction but I see he's been posting since last week.
Was only able to zero it at an indoor 100 yard range. No field use yet...My comment was specifically for uscbadger as he has the Gen III 1-10 and I just got mine last week, but I'm happy to hear from ILya as wellAnd yes, I'm glad to hear ILya is getting over the vaccine, I personally will hold out to the very last on that voodoo sauce.

Absolutely. The illumination is bright in sunlight?
That’s encouraging as the Gen III is nuclear bright in bright daylight. How is that illuminated cross at 1x, still see the cross or more like a dot?Absolutely.
Will be looking forward to your input on the SAI-6.Well I bit the bullet and just grabbed an SAI 6, really curious to see how I like it compared to my Gen III
