Night Vision Asking about ATN Thor HD 640x480 5-50 feedback

Hi Folks,

I am going to buy a thermal scope for hunting. Recently I found ATN Thor HD scope has all best technical data and features.

The HD640x480 with 100mm lense with good price rating to other 640HD competitors product.

I am wondering if anyone already have it and how is it? I have few concerns based on this product:

1. Shut off after firing? Seems like common problem from ATN product, they provides an external battery kit and says can prevent this happen?

2. Recoil rating seems like for 308 on top, anyone got issue of reticle shift problem when constant firing? Or reticle shift after carry it out in road trip?

Seems like the only thermal scope under 10k can guarantee large caliber recoil is Armasight zeus pro serious, and I decide to use thermal on my AR15 and AR10 as the only aiming device, so I want to buy one at least reliable on POI.

My coyote hunting partner has one. I looked through it a few times but I wasn't blown away by it. I have a Pulsar hd38 spotter that was detecting everything his Thor was. It seems like he is getting constant software updates from ATN for it. There's nothing that would keep me from buying one, but it seems to be a little annoying. I'm buying a thermal scope before next hunting season and its between the Thor or the new Pulsar lineup.
