Hi all.
Recent years there seems to been an minor explosion of actions and rifles parts all with diffrent ideas and philosophy.
I have been saving up for a new build, but truth be told its difficult to find what is good and work and what is not so good. feels like i "Can't see the forest for the trees" so much information pros and cons regarding everything.
I needed to start somewhere. Got a 22" 7mm fluted MTU-ish barrel that my goal is to spin to a 7saum and intend to use.

But I request some advice on a good tactical type action that is
R700 base., CRF, ~60° throw . If square shroud design exists, its a plus

When I started looking I made a list of what I wanted.
I wanted 700 footprint/trigger
CRF
Mechanical ejection
Possibly short bolt lift throw
Savage pre fit compatibility.

I went with a ARC Nucleus and am totally happy with it.

With your criteria a only a few are close to meeting your requirements.

Being new to the custom action world I was overwhelmed at first.

Basically I stuck to requirements I felt I wanted and that only presented a few options then I read as much as I could and then spent my money.

If every other action you use is 60 degree throw you’ll love it. If not,it will take a minute to adjust every time you use your rifle, evensub consciously. It really isn’t any quicker imho. Smooth is fast,90 degree is smooth,60 degree has a mechanical disadvantage. I have a nucleus as an aiax. Love them. But prefer my impact at the end of the day and it’s in my dedicated match rifle. So smooth and wicked fast

Nucleus does seem to be a really great action, so does the new archimedes.

question, I have the possibility to buy a Badger M2013 action from a friend. It's not what i thought from the beginning.
It did feelt like a tank, heavy but smooth. The action was placed in a KRG w3 just to give some feel for it.
Really felt like a good combination.
worth a buy? half the price unlike of some of the others suggestions here.

If I got a good deal on a 2013 I’d buy it instantly.

Maybe not exactly what I want but they’re pretty cool and certainly plenty functional
