They hired assistant for one year of help. Anything beyond that is going to be luck if they hire additional examiners.

They have hired examiner assistant as temps until the end of the fiscal year. I hope they keep them on as they are really speeding up the processes which were looking pretty bleak a few months ago.
The examiner assistants are basically pre checking paperwork, and sending forms back that go into problem status or passing on forms that look good to the examiners desk. By doing this they let the examiners just aprove forms instead of messing with things that aren't done exactly right.
I have heard rumors of them trying to target a 60 day turn around time for forms, but do not know the source so I couldn't say if it was accurate.
I spoke to one about a week ago who was very pleasant and helpful.

They also claimed to be getting the wait time down to 45 days door to door. They also said at the same time that they would be achieving this goal by end of July.......
