ATF gearing up to ban braces

Niche, boutique, laughable.

How much bread crust do the nerds peel off before it becomes a spectacle?

Q is the first entry where this argument begins to get a bit less flippant for me. To my knowledge, he quite likely traded a morally bankrupt avenue as an second extra parachute, in case his vision for q went south and his suppressors & hb didn’t catch. And this added modestly to his decades of outlandish behavior. More hated than liked, he’s like the longest, thinnest flathead in the toolbox. He’s there to make a mockery, yet still be noticed. And I think he enjoys it.

Polarizing as this man may be, I think he is an American that is fit to fight for us. And I think we should allow him this without trepidation. He has some moves to make up for in this industry. He’s a pretty damn good dog for this fight. He’s certainly recalcitrant enough.

Yeah, well, LOP can be influenced by a number of other factors as well - like the presence of a folding adapter. If that's the standard by which we're going to determine "stock" vs "brace", then they ATF needs to publish guidance accordingly.

Better yet, Congress needs to reign in this creature.

Congress wont reign in any alphabet agency.

The Agencies do the work that Congress is Constitutionally tasked with.

The alphabet agencies create regulations with the force of law.

Congress people shirk their responsibility while gaining cover.

"Dont blame me voters.....it was the ATF."

Spot on. If Congress did its job, then we'd need to do a lot less bitching about POTUS and SCOTUS.

Hopefully we get this right the next time around.

Hi,

Remember when I said the gun industry can be its' own worst enemy.....
Consumers willing to forgive/forget when large manufacturers blatantly turn on them in regards to what the 2A really is...
Here is S&W numbers for 2018: (Think they care what we bitch about online in regards to 2A support vs 2A no support??)
Pistols: 886,917
Revolvers: 210,333
Rifles: 278,372

Sincerely,
Theis

I'm just always amused that as gun owners we don't realize that the attitudes we have towards each other are engineered.

Derision is a contagious behavior. So the manipulators promote derision and personal attacks against each other in our forums and gatherings.

A key Neo-marxist behaviour is to counter-organize. This is the act of destroying our ability to organize to resist their organization.

And based on the threads I see here and on AR15.com and other sites, it sure as fuck is working.

Some of those trolls out there are subtle, and intent on destroying our unity, instead of just being blatant over the top assholes. Those assholes are cover for the subtle manipulators.

Hell, it works SO good that we even take up the chant after a while and start attacking other gun owners and we wonder then why they don't want to be friends and why we are losing this fight.

@The King I agree 100%.

Regardless of how we feel about prior laws that have been passed, I think we can ALL agree that any further restrictions should be opposed in every way possible.

Even the guy who only shoots bolt guns should unite with the AR guys to oppose further regulation. This can go both ways as the bolt guys are seeing more and more long range spots either shut down or reduced (I saw this when I lived in the Northeast the last 12 months). Any community with no diversity is no community at all and will die out.

As others have stated, we also see this happening in many other (larger) industries. Constitutionally, the government should be of the people and by the people. In many instances, it would be hard to argue that is how our government works today. That's all I'll say about that...
