I just mounted my new Atlas V8 BT10-LW17 with ADM on a seekins mount. There is a lot of play between the adm and rail. Is this normal and/or is there a way to adjust the adm mount to fit more securely on the rail? If there was no recoil lug on the mount it definetly would not hold.

With the QD lever completely disengaged, push it so the octagon screw cap on the other side pushes out, then turn it clockwise. Try 1/8 of a turn each time and remount on your rifle until it locks without wobble.

+1 on this advice. The ADM mounts (all of them) were made to work with both in-spec and out-of-spec rails. Accordingly, there is a clamp/lock adjustment mechanism that allows you to tighten/loosen the tension. Hamstur's advice is spot on, but here's a link to ADM's PDF file on the installation/adjustment:

Good luck!
