G'day all,

Been having a gander around the joint for a fair while now and figured I'd start to get involved a bit more.

Haven't been out shooting much in the last 8 months due to work and getting married, but currently as I write this I'm sitting in the Honolulu domestic airport waiting to board with my missus and fly to Maui for our honeymoon!

If anyone has any tips for a decent shooting range to visit that's open to the public I'd appreciate it a whole bunch. Plenty of bolt action centerfire fun to be had back home, but would love to try out some semi auto action and handguns while I'm here if I can get some time away from the missus and the pool!

Really loving all the info the forum has on offer and I'll see you all amongst the various threads in sure.

Cheers.

I've been to Hawaii twice in last few years and am going this fall.

I can only speak to the island of Kauai but don't expect much in the way of shooting. Last time I was on Kauai, I found a gun shop. I was told by the owner that there are virtually no public shooting areas. Its private land or nothing. Hawaii is very anti gun. I was also told that a local police chief was kind of forced into signing off on 2 carry permits for a pair of retired officers and firearms instructors.

Enjoy the islands. Feel free to PM any questions.
