I just finished Chuck Logan's "After the Rain" last weekend. He writes a great thriller. Anyway, I was reading his personal blurb at the back of the book and he's a Vietnam Vet - airborne - with the usual starts and fits to his writing career. I kept thinking his books really remind me of the Lucas Davenport novels, and then I read that John Sandford edited Logan's early writings and must have been a heavy influence.
So I recommend Logan highly if you want a good thriller and you want to cut a brother a hus.
