Night Vision Autogated hum

Can anyone give me an idea of how loud the autogated hum is in a PVS27?

I have had other setups that had a hum and it drove me crazy, probably because of my tinnitus. Just curious how noticeable it is.

I would prefer something without the autogated feature but it seems like it is part of all the higher end night vision setups.

I have tinnitus and all but one of my NVDs is autogated, doesn't bother me at all. I barely notice it on my 27. That said, some autogated tubes whine louder than others, lighting conditions are a factor as well.
