Availability of 175 Match Kings?

We saw numerous boxes on the shelf this weekend all around Washington state. Just keep looking, they are popping up more and more.

Today at one store we found 142 6.5 smk's and I had 5 pounds of 4350 in my hands. Also picked up some .22 ammo, primers were very abundant, and some other minor stuff.

"primers were very abundant". Oh man, do you think that store would ship to NJ?

I highly doubt it. Small town with a gem of a store hidden just off the main road. This pic was after the 7 or 8 of us got what we wanted. Went back the next day and their shelves were packed full again but we had all we needed.

This was also the first time ever that I have seen CCI BR primers of any sort on the shelf in a walk in store.

Before I spent $200 on 500 SMK's, I'd buy the Berger 175 LRBT. It is a more consistently constructed bullet and offers a nice bump in BC. These new Bergers really are fantastic! They're much, much easier to get shooting than the old VLD's, and most have a better BC than the VLD's. Grafs and Third Generation have them in stock in the mid $40's. if you can get 500 175 SMK's for $150ish then that would change things a bit...

If you don't mind paying 28 cents a bullet for mil surp pulls, go to http://www.snipershide.com/shooting...s-hide-reloading/www.upammosupply.com...their pulled bullets are top quality and shoot just about the same as new SMK 175s. I have ordered several thousand from them over the past year or so and have not been disappointed in the service and quality. Only disappointment is the price...a year ago they were 15 cents a bullet, now almost the same price as factory-new bullets, but this is what the market will currently yield to the vendor.

By the way, like everyone else selling reloading components, they have these in stock often, but not all the time. You will have to check their site often (couple of times a day) to catch them when they are in stock. You might also look at www.okweber.com, they had some in stock a couple of weeks ago...bullet cost with shipping was 31 cents each.

For some reason, my link to upammosupply.com has been changed to a link within Snipers Hide and doesn't take you to the site...can't find upammosupply on the vendor list here...undoubtedly it is here on the site, like my operator error.

I found some on here then got an email from midway and quickly ordered some from them. Just have to keep looking. I had to order from my smartphone as soon as I got the email. Otherwise I have missed out a couple times already.

Just got 500 from a local store in College Station, and another 1,000 from Wylie's in Wills Point when I visited east texas.

I have a lot of 175 SMK's and BR CCI LR primers, but can't find any H4895 powder. Meanwhile, I have 10 1lb jugs of Varget. WTF. I wouldn't mind trading pound for pound for some H4895.

Wish I would have seen this sooner. Midway had 500ct boxes yesterday. Sold out now, of course. I also found some on Vanceoutdoors.com a week ago. I agree that the best way to get them is to use the notification feature on Midway or similar sites and be ready to pounce when you get that email or text message. I miss 3 or 4 times for every one time I am quick enough to buy some.

The auto notify feature is the best way to get anything shooting related right now. Second best is probably back order. Natchez, Midsouth, Midway, Grafs all have it but you just have to create an account. I have also found more and more places carrying gun components using the auto notify. Just be damn quick on the phone draw!
