Saturday Sept. 20th at Phoenix Rod and Gun club. Start time 0700 bring 50rds and your gear. We will be shooting from 200 to 525 yards this month due to minor range issues this month. If you need more info get a hold of me, I'm running the match..
A big thank you to Tim3gun. I had the opportunity to attend todays match, and it was awesome. It was my first match, and everyone was very welcoming and helpful to a novice shooter. I definitely am glad I came out to this match and plan on continuing.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. You shot good and finished well above the typer snipers that talk a good shoot but never go. You are ahead of the game and on your way to becoming a better marksman. Looking forward to seeing you on the range again.
Definetely. It was quite eye opening and very humbling at the same time. it was a very refreshing and challenging match as I have never shot off of reverse slope roottop simulators, barricades, or support shoulder, and it was quite interesting to try those new positions. It has only motivated me to improve and get better.
For any of the new shooters out there I highly recommend you find a local match and take part. I learned more in two days from practical application and picking the brains of more experienced shooters than I have in the last 4 years of trying to suck up all the knowledge I can from this site.
I was out of town, but if there is a little more notice, I think it would be awesome to drive down. I will keep my eyes open for the next go round. How many rounds needed? What other pieces of gear are required? Bipod, bino's, spotting scope, sling, anything against the rules?

It's pretty simple, every 3rd Saturday. Now you have a months notice. 50rds is always a guarantee. I think we might be moving back to 8am starting next month, that'll be the only thing to really keep an eye out for which will be posted here or the best place to find the match info is on the azlrps Facebook page. Bring a rifle with good dope and a rear bag. If you have other goodies like a good sling or other shooting bags bring em along. There is a great video on the Facebook page right now of the match Saturday and it can give you an idea of what we do and what you may need but before you buy anything I'd come shoot the match and see what others are using, how they're using it, and whether it actually helps them or not.
