I have a beater rifle that I want to put in a decent stock and not break the bank. Stockys Stocks has these for about $200 and they look pretty nice.

Have any of you guys owned one and what are your opinions? I don't know if this stock has the aluminum skeleton that extends all the way to the forend, but that is not a major consideration for this application. This is a BDL sporter.

Thanks,

david

Re: B & C Medalist

I have the A2 style and it's fantastic, the bedding block is from the grip to the end of the forend I do belive. Very solid stock, in the forend, however it will flex about 1/8" if you put too much pressure on it (as in me sqeezing to and the barrel at the same time with some force. The buttstock is hollow FYI.

See my sig. line for a look!!

Jgillam,

I know what you mean by finding one in stock. Last week, all they had for the SA was black. I really wanted a green/black spiderweb, but was going to settle for black. Today, they say they have the tan/black spiderweb in stock. I think that may be the ticket.

Re: B & C Medalist

I watched everyone but the green/black web go in and out of stock for 8 weeks after ordering mine, then atlast! I got shipment notification. IMO worth the wait. I almost switched and went for the tan, once when it was in stock during my wait tho.
