I have a B&C A5 stock which has an internal 3/8" rail. I am looking for accessories for the rail. I would really like to have a weaver / picatinny adapter as the harris doesn't fit the falt profile very well. Ultimately i would like to have something in the link below for the front and back of the stock. I would end up mounting an accushot monopod and the harris to the front.

i am sure i can fit one of the srs to the rear however i'm not sure how to drill / tap to the rear of the stock.

anybody have any assitance to offer? i think i will call glen next week to see if he can fit T adapter to the bottom of those srs that would fit inside that 3/8" european style rail.

any and all assistance is appreciated.

Re: B&C stock accessories / possible seekin's help?

1.) Accushot can attach directly to the rear sling swivel stud and you can still use a sling, so there is no need to put one back there for that purpose alone.

2.) A custom piece will likely be your only option if you really want one up front. Buying an adapter for an adapter may not be the best option. Dont forget... some mechanism for holding it in place would also need to made... otherwise its gonna slide up and down the rail. And then you will still need a harris adapter to fit the new rail you put on. Just my .02.

I think he did and didn't like the fit. He seems to be looking to find an adapter to fit the srs adapter into the 3/8 inch rail... and then use the rail adapter for the harris bipod

I just reread lonewolfs post: Adding the flat forend adapter to the 3/8inch rail adapter you already have seems to be the best answer.

Another option would be to buy a picatinny rail blank and have the 3/8 T machined into the bottom so it will slide into your rail. There are a number of companies that sell blanks of various lengths.

Here is a picture of one. Rail Blank

Re: B&C stock accessories / possible seekin's help?

thanks guys and you are right i would like to get a picatinny in there but not just for my bipod. i think it would be a more robust rail system and allow me to mount other accessories. I am not a big fan of mounting the bipod to the sling swivel and having a decent rail system on there would help.

Re: B&C stock accessories / possible seekin's help?

you have a local gunsmith with a manual milling machine? If so, ask him to build you 2 square nuts that will fit inside your rail. The bottom would be wider than the top so it will fit in the large part and the top would protrude into your slot just a bit so when you tighten it nothing will spin. Tap them for a 10-24 screw and your in business...

Re: B&C stock accessories / possible seekin's help?

i will have to give them a call last i heard they were crazy busy. Thanks again glen. On a side note anybody tapped and drilled a B&C stock to put in a stud on the bottom rear of the gun? wanting to put one of glens pic rails there with a monopod

Re: B&C stock accessories / possible seekin's help?

i know i don't however every one of the accushot monopods that i have seen that arn't the pic rail attach style don't fold flush with the stock they angle out at a weird angle.

Re: B&C stock accessories / possible seekin's help?

Adding a swivel stud should be a standard operation for any gunsmith... have the same one that is fitting the nuts for the front do it all at the same time. All problems solved.
