I (actually Chad Dixon) just put a Badger FTE Muzzle Brake on my Model 70, 300 WM 1000 yard rifle.
I'm really impressed with the way it works. Equally impressed with Chad's work, fast, and reasonably priced. Not to mention he did it so was I could use my existing front sight set up, and whipped out a Tread Protector for the times I can't use the brake (NRA Matches).
Now to the jest of my post. I want one on my Model 70 375 H&H. Problem is the smalles barrel diameter I can find for the FTE brake is .800. My Model 70 is .740 where the barrel goes.
Is it possible to get a FTE that fits a smaller barrel? or is it feasable to put shims under the clamping portion of the brake to bring ti to .800?
