Gunsmithing Badger ordinance brake

I have some questions on this brake. I ordered my niece a ruger American predator in 6.5 creed. She is a very small 12 year old girl. I ordered a badger ordinance fte brake for this rifle to help negate the recoil till she gets bigger/older. First off the website says for barrels .800 and larger...I don't think this rifle is that heavy of a barrel. Will this still be ok? Also my dad is a machinist by trade for over 40 years and will be opening up the brake to work with this caliber. Do I tell him to open it up .020 larger than .264? Any help here would be appreciated.

The APA little bastard works well and you'll be very happy with it. I just put one on a light weight 300 ultra, its very nice to shoot now then before.
