Looking for a SA BDL style M5 footprint, referred to as a M4 trigger guard/bottom metal. In the white, cerakoted, or blued…i’m your huckleberry!

The badger m4 bottom metal is a different footprint than the m5 cutout. I was told this by badger and mcmillan who cuts the stocks for both of these. Some people did say that the m4 will fit in the m5 cut with a gap (could probably fill it with some bedding compound)

If someone else wants to chime in that has more knowledge on this as well that would be great.

btw I am also looking for a badger M4 trigger guard so I'll take seconds on one after Zhomeguy!

U are correct, it’ll fit the recess but to be perfect a bit of bedding/fill req to be perfect, vs a Rem 700 BDL cut out, you’ll need to hog out.
Now Hawkins makes a BDL style piece that fits the M5 cut and works great, but if your looking at an old school look in your build..bout only choice left n with Badger no longer making n PTG not making replicas, you might find a heavy duty version with Sunny Hill or an older Williams piece…
