Being new to the world of suppression, I have recently seen references to "baffle stike" and of course the damage that may occur as a result. What conditions create the possibility for a baffle strike and what can be done to to prevent it? Thanks in advance, Jim R

Re: Baffle Stirke?

Shooting a bullet that will not stabilize from your weapon , like shooting a sub sonic 240gr Match King from a 1-12 twist 308 ,the bullet will wobble before is gets out of the can and very bad things can happen from their.
if the barrel or the suppressor are not threaded concentric witht he bore
if the barrel to suppressor fit is poor the can may get loose and "droop" on the threads causing trouble.

Most suppressor makers that i know of use a good class 3 thread fit as do most smiths that thread barrels so their shoudlen't be to big of a problem.
