they were even played going into war during ww1 and 2 and other battles

but I will always think bagpipes sound like someone killing a cat in a bag .

I had bagpipes at my wedding. The whole thing was obviously planned by my wife but I asked if we could have bagpipes. He played us in to a tiny chapel. It was stupid loud! Played us in to our reception as well. Only things I got in the ceremony were dress boots and bagpipes.

I love the bagpipes. Was gonna try and learn to play them but neighbors called the cops. Thought i was murdering cats
The fire dept here has a pipe and drum band and if you are 100% committed they will teach you to play them. Their schedule and mine dont work out which is probably for the best.
