Ballistics Computer for Samsung Galaxy S4

Add another vote for strelok...I used the free version with good results. Bought a new scope and emailed the developer asking for the burris G2B reticle to be added. 14 hours later I recieved an email saying it was added the 5.95 version. Bought it and couldn't be happier!!!

Just got back from SD where my partner and I used Shooter and a Kestrel exclusively. The Kestrel with Bluetooth will propagate the fields of Shooter except for wind direction . We were shooting at 1000-1100 yards most of the time. He killed a prairie dog at 1089 yards and his pic will be in the Varmint Hunter Magazine soon. Without Shooter and a Kestrel it would have been like 'spittin into the wind' .

I'm using the free version of Strelok on my Galaxy Tablet and S3 phone (new to the whole smartphone thing, too). So far, I've used it to 800 yards with three different rifles (and varying loads in each rifle) and found it to work very well.

I would certainly not recommend Shooter for use on a Galaxy S4, at least not right now. There is some sort of compatibility issue with some of the newer android phones that causes it to spit out jacked up trajectories (3.8 mils for 2700fps 175SMK at 1000yds).
The folks that put out the program are aware of the problem, but there still isn't a fix for it yet.

They fixed thoes problems a couple weeks ago on the s4

Which program are you referring to, Shooter or Applied Ballistics? There was an update for Applied Ballistics back on 10 Jun: Update for Applied Ballistics Mobile App for Android OS « Daily Bulletin

However, I have not seen an update for Shooter yet. Do you have a link on what is needed to get the update (based on a few other threads and other users feedback in the app store, I am not the only one still waiting on this)? I don't see an update in the app store, and re-installing the program has not fixed the issues.

They are all pretty good out to a 1,000 yards, beyond that you may want to look into a hand held pda and coldbore or FFS.

Yeah, I hard that too. Almost bought a Nomad and FFS before going to Gunsite for the ELR class. But I tried Shooter instead. I tied for highest first round hit percentage with Kyle from XLR- he was also using Shooter.

Edit to add- the data I got was accurate to the 1/10 of a mil out to the furthest distance we shot- 2000 meters.
