Just looking for a bare basic rangefinder to verify targets at matches and distances for trueing/training.

Don’t need Bluetooth, AB, nothing crazy. Probably need it to be reliable on steel out to +/- 1500yds.

Also, not looking to spend Vectronix money as of right now. Not looking for something cheap, but looking to keep it down a little this time.

    Recommendations?

    Thanks

Leica 2000B. $399 from EuroOptics. There's several Leica models on sale for the same price but are not as 'feature rich' i.e. angle, temp, and Baro. There's a demo option for $315 but currently shows out of stock. Definitely the best bang for your dollar value today. If you need more distance, you're looking at likely double the cost. The Leica are known to be reliable and better represented in advertised distance. I've offhanded mine over mile many times. It's not easy and not every target. Closer is easier. The glass is amazing. Small form factor is the reason I bought, so glad I did.

If you can find one, the discontinued Swarovski Laser Guide 8x30 is an excellent no-frills rangefinder. I picked up one of these in the Px here recently for a very good price and couldn't be happier with it. Ranges reliably to 1410 yards (longest distance I've tried so far), has great glass, a wide field of view, simple, quick operation and it has a very effective auto-dimming feature for low light use. There's nothing displayed until you hit the button, so it also works as a nice 8x monocular. To Vitali1342 - even if you're just thinking about asking... NO! You can't have it back! :p;)
