Well we sent in money for two actions that were a complete cluster in the quality so we returned after talking to Johns son Bret back in January and was told we would get our money back.

Now I know John was in a car accident but right now were out a good bit of cash and they dont respond to any type of message.

Its now been close to three months and I was just wondering if anyone else was left holding the shit bag?

Two overwatch actions in 375 Cheytac

Any help would be great
 
I`m in the same boat. I ordered an action almost 1yr ago. I sent the money up front because I thought he had a good reputation. His son sent me an email and said that John had to shut the business down and they would try to return my money. Everytime John & I talked on phone, it was a different story. I have called and left numerous messages, emails, with no response. Seems odd to me that his website should say something for the customers who have sent money.
 
They dont answer the phone anymore or respond to messages at all. John is back in the shop as of today as I had someone stop by. Promised to call and pay me back .........so we will see how it goes. I will keep the thread posted to anything new.
 
Dynanic Research did you buy from John as well?? I noticed your right up the highway to Johns place in Victor and your in Florence??? Hmmmm??????

Just found your post on what great things John is doing in the 375 Cheytac action. So like I said go and drive the ten miles up the road and ask him or have John just call us himself instead of having you do it for him.

I would also ask the other Poster EXCALIBER if he paid John directly as well in your due diligence to see who got left holding the shit bag.


Do us all a big favor and let John handle his own problems and you can help him by not bringing this back to the top of the forum.
 
You also need to let the people who you ordered from deal with their own accounting, and you deal with them. We can spread all kinds of things on the internet, but does it do us any good? Or do we just get people all worked up for nothing? We can banter back and forth and get all bent out of shape with each other, or figure out the answer to the problem.
 
Ok since you inetnd to still PIMP for BARKER MACHINE. Its my money that was sent to John now if there is something you dont understand about that then like I said go see your neighbor JOHN. This problem with BARKER MACHINE going MIA withmy money has been going on for a while. All we were asking for was a answered call or email..........Im not the onlyone out there who are in this boat with JOHN but it seemed a little wierd that DYNAMIC RESEARCH who has nothing to do with this would get in the middle of it.

If your a business that wants to continue to do business in the industry of your choice then custoomer service and the quality of the product have to be at the top of the list.

Not answering phone calls or emails and only taking in money with no regard for the customer is a quick way to fail. At the end of the day the customer has to decide if
the company he or she has decided to do business with is Credible, Trustworty, Has a Quality Product and will stand behind what they say. Sometimes forums can be misleading
when a local friend can pimp your products for you and the reader has NO IDEA that this is going on.

So completely blinsided the forum reader buys from the PIMPED UP company and ends up with problems like we have here.

The Answer - The company needs to be held accountable for the quality of the products that are produced and have a system where they respond to issues such as quality in
a timely manner. Going for months with no communication will turn away many people.
Not answering multiple phone calls and emails are only a way to anger the customer and have postings on forums stating the problems they faced with the
company.

So as our saga continues we will keep you updated with the progress we hope ends well.
 
This is some sad crap happening in a community (ours) where it has no place. I am saddened everytime I read a thread like this that shows bickering and infighting among and between fellow shooters. Such is life it seems...

Little more that bickering, seems like fraud and theft to me.
 
I had a similar situation with a company in MI (now out of business). After 4 months of no contact I contacted the ATF to find out if he was still in business. 3 days later the shop contacted me with a laundry list of excuses.
I'm not saying that you should do this, but in the late '80's Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet, and it seemed to be my only option.
In the end everything worked out. Just my $.02

The mods have said they can't/won't do that. I think mostly for liablity reasons, and I can't argue with them... It seems like far too often these threads turn into pointless mud-slinging that don't get anything productive done.

Odd, it's OK to post load recipes but not experiences with rip-offs? That seems to me to be a financial decision not to upset paying or future paying customers, not simply a liability decision. Although a liability can be a financial liability.
