Does anyone know what barrel contours are of the AIAX rifles from Mile High and from Eurooptic? The latter advertises a 24" barrel while the former has a 26" but I can't find any information beyond that. Does anyone know who does the re-barrels on them (they don't come in those calibers originally, do they?) and the barrel manufacturers? Any information on the weight of the rifles? Mile High has what seems to be a significantly lower price for the same options, or it does at least as far as I can tell from the information provided on the web sites. Any good reason for an individual to go with the more expensive quick-adjust options if it's only going to be shot by one person?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the barrels are similar to an MTU contour, maybe a hair thinner. They're thick. Dave Tooley rebarrels for AINA, using Bartlein, and he knows a thing or 12 about barrels. They do indeed come in the calibers you named above. I don't think Euro Optic has updated the pricing on their in stock AX rifles, so it might be worth a phone call to them. Whether you go Mile High or Euro Optic, you'll get top notch service. As for the quick adjust, I think it's an excellent feature. Depending on your style of shooting, you may find it more comfortable to make slight adjustments for going from prone to barricade shooting or any other position, but I don't think it's a must have feature. You'll be happy if you go with an AI, but I recommend trying out (if you haven't already) the AX platform before you buy. Some people just can't get comfortable behind it. I prefer the AW, while others prefer the AX. (I'm sure I provided at least one backasswards fact, anybody feel free to correct me).
