Today I went out to the range and finally got to shoot past 100 yards. First shot 200 yards at a “head size” target. I hit it no problem with the 100 yard zero aiming at the crosshair. It was to easy. After about 5 shots I moved to the 300 range same size target shooting prone I was hitting it pretty easy. I’m very impatient I shot 30 rounds or so within 10 min. Then range went cold. Then 20 more rounds pretty fast then noticed I missed the target a lot maybe 5 out of 10 shots were missed. I accidentally touched the barrel and it was HOT very HOT. Should I have let the barrel cool down instead of being a Asshole?
I shot about 75 rounds within 2 hrs is that too many?

Thanks

probably two much to to fast for that barrel contour I have MTU contour with the barrel alone weighing 7.5lbs and they will get pretty hot with a string of fire like that. I always reach up and touch my barrel even after 10-15 rounds if you can't hold your hand on it. Its to hot.

You should just buy an AR, you'd save some money on ammo.

You were using the a 100 yard zero at 200 and 300 yards and hitting an 8 inch target?
