Does anyone have experience with 16" or 18" Creedmoor builds? How bad is the muzzle blast?

Not any better or worse than other 16" AR-10's. Your brake will be what makes it pleasant, tolerable, or obnoxious
I shoot the bolt action rifle I built for my son that's a 16 inch 6.5CM without ear pro but that's because a 9 inch can is ALWAYS on it
pretty much what @sboone mentioned. It is not an optimal length. 6.5CM tends to favor a few more inches than .308. That's what she says.
I have a 18” 6.5CM with muzzle brake and the blast is not too bad, can easily shoot it w/o a can for 2 or 3 day class and be no worse for ware.
I have several 16” 308 gas guns and finished a 16” 6.5 Creedmoor this year. The Creedmoor is running an EC tuner brake and I can’t say the blast at any worse behind the gun than my 16” 308’s or my 24” 6.5 MWS with a Fat bastard brake.
